| Customer Reviews: the missing underground stations! May 9, 2003 Kate Marshall (UK) 9 out of 13 found this review helpful
This software is good....it does work...but god so frustrating that it does not show you the TUBE stations...just imagine getting a walking route but having to look for the name of the road outside the station when you get there...you need to fix this TOM TOM
One easily correctable problem ! April 14, 2003 11 out of 13 found this review helpful
A software user from London United Kingdom I live in London, I will be bold and state that all Londoners have used the A - Z (Map guide) and the tube system (Subway). There is no reference to the Tube System on this map or in the address lists, the stations are not marked, if you do a search for say Oxford Circus, nothing. I think anyone who has been to London will appreciate how vital finding the nearest tube is when giving and receiving directions in addition to getting around. All that would need to be done is put in a little red dot, with the name of the station. Without this the software will do what it says on the tin be useful if walking or driving (and it is a very good product for this). But it can not replace your A to Z because it won’t help you find the Tube stations.
Damn good piece of software March 6, 2003 Martin (Bradford, West Yorks United Kingdom) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I'm using this product with a GPS equipeed palmspring visor, it's brilliant! Really accurate mapping right down to street level, looks good in monocrome - must look great in colour. How it could it be made even better?- Adding Gatso warnings! - Showing landmarks (eg Pubs) as well as street names.
Great Maps but you need to know where you're going December 16, 2002 J L Craig (UK) 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
Bought this just before a trip to Holland and found it invaluable. Great addition to your Pocket PC and in my view the maps (once you find them) and functions are clearer and better than any others I've found. My only criticism is the antiquated interface for finding the maps on your PC, its only text based and a matter of scrolling down a huge list until you find the place you're after and you need to know what the developers have decided to classify it as! My first experience was trying to find a map of The Hague which as a piece of Dutch Software you might think would be easy. Not even locals were able to tell me that the real name for The Hague is not Den Hagg (as it appears on every map and sign) but S'Gravenhage as it appears in Tom Tom!I've not yet tried the GPS but if anyone wants to give me a reciever for my iPaq Ill gladly test it for you!
