The route printouts are complicated and misleading. Very often the information is totally wrong ie 'turn left' when it should be 'right'.
I have used the software several times. Every time I end up getting lost. The last occasion I ended up buying a map to get out of trouble.
It is now uninstalled and thrown in the trash.
I guess I made the 1st big mistake and walked into PC world without doing any research regarding Map & Route plan software.
I asked a sales assistant (2nd big mistake) what is recommended. Obviously the reps are going to sell you the garbage that is hard pushed to offload.
SwiftWare software is now part of my banned shopping list.

Installed it. Uninstalled it.
Cloggs up the Palm like a tank on the M25, and just as useful. Keep your money and save up for the GPS TomTom or equiv hand held system.

I have a Palm 3C and already own a 1999 route planner for the UK by BV (Netherlands) which is quite good. This route planner, however, looked good and I thought I'd buy it to upgrade the Palm.However despite the wonderful colours, it takes an eternity to load and calculate routes and has a very limited database of town names already pre-loaded. To expand the database you have to load towns through the Hot-Sync facility which is a real pain. My home town (Erskine in Scotland) had to be loaded and Taunton, the county town of Somerset even had to be loaded. The problem you now have is that you can only use the towns you have on the system, so if you're travelling away for the day and decide to calculate a route due to a change of plan, the chances are you won't be able to because you haven't downloaded the data. I found this to be ill thought-out, slow and a real pain.
